Instead of requiring its own proprietary fuel cartridge, the Thermacell Backpacker Mosquito Repeller runs directly off the same isobutane/propane camping fuel canisters already in most backcountry kits. That's a meaningful weight and space saving when you're already carrying fuel for a stove. At 114 grams and compact enough to clip to a pack or set on a gunwale, it creates the same proven 15-foot scent-free, DEET-free protection zone as the full-size Thermacell units. Fuel efficiency is impressive: a standard 4 oz canister delivers up to 90 hours of run time, and a 16 oz canister stretches to 360 hours across a multi-week trip.

Reliable up to 7,000 feet elevation and packaged with four repellent mats (16 hours of coverage) and a water-resistant travel bag. Fuel canister not included. Note that the unit requires a pressurised self-sealing isobutane/propane fuel mix and is not compatible with 100% propane canisters.
